I am so completely envious of the carefree and easy going attitude that is the norm in South Florida. I had always thought that I was a laid back person until I moved here. Hell these people probably think I have a 12 foot stick up my ass. I have only been here for a little over a month, but I am starting to pick up on some lingo.
No Worries
Definition: I do not really give a shit about anything.
Used in a sentence: I just crashed my car into a tree, no worries.
Good People
Definition: People that are ok to associate with (can be used in singular or plural form)
Used in a sentence: I know him, he's good people.
It's all good
Definition: Nothing really matters that much.
Used in a sentence: I got drunk, almost got arrested, and was escorted out by the police: it's all good.
Although I have picked up on some verbiage, I have yet to master the mindset. I have made it my goal however to not give a fuck a little more each day. I have to say it is liberating. Before you know it I will be smoking pot like cigarettes and listening to Bob Marley.
